The modern private residence at 1234 Kane Road is located in the city of Mississauga, in the province of Ontario, Canada, on a lush green street just a few blocks from the shore of Lake Ontario.
The architectural concept by Fine Lines Design was based on the principles of open space planning, with a unified living area free of partitions, bathed in natural light through large-scale window frames. The goal was for the residence to achieve optimal energy performance while effectively withstanding the region’s often challenging weather conditions. To this end, the builder entrusted EPAL with the fabrication and installation of the home’s window systems.
The systems chosen for the project were the 18000 Ultra K and the E50 series, both of which offer outstanding thermal transmittance (Uw) values starting at 0.78 W/m²K and 1.45 W/m²K respectively. The aluminum profiles were coated with AMMOS 9005 Super Durable by NEOKEM, designed to endure even the harshest weather conditions.
Thanks to EPAL’s uniquely designed aluminum systems, the homeowners enjoy open, light-filled, and warm interior spaces—just as their architects had envisioned.
